As President of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Quebec, I welcome you to our new Web site. Originally created as a communication tool for our members, the site has developed on a regular basis ever since. Although not designed for individual medical consultation or personal problems, you will find the site provides a great deal of information, such as the definition of our profession and maybe the answer to your questions. You will also have access to many useful Internet addresses relating to our specialty, a contact list of obstetricians/gynecologists in your area and other subjects.
The AOGQ is very much aware of constant technology progress and that our Web site must be maintained at the highest level. A special committee has been formed, chaired by Dr. Guy Morand, and he and his colleagues will be updating various aspects of our site on a regular basis. Any suggestions on how we may improve its content will be appreciated.
I would also like to emphasize the valuable support provided by our Administrative collaborators enabling constant contact with the chairpersons of the various AOGQ committees and the Web site team.
In closing, I would like to mention the outstanding participation of Merck Frosst Canada at the revision of "gynecoquebec.com".
